Placenames Australia have formal and informal relationships with various organisations with mutual interests, both national and international.
Some of these are state/territory naming authorities, historical societies, the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping Place Names Working Group, TLCMap, First Languages Australia, Universities, the United Nations Group of Experts in Geographical Names, and the International Council of Onomastic Sciences.
